Sugar Town Strut- Jive & Swing Dance nights take place twice a year (usually late summer & winter) at Risby Village Hall near Bury St Edmunds. We have been holding these dance nights at this venue since 2014, before that since 2013 at the British Sugar Sports & Social Club in Bury St Edmunds (where the event got its name). We always book the hottest live six or seven piece jump jive & swing bands around, as can see from our history page, also suported bu Paul our resident DJ. The village hall in Risby is a very large hall that can seat over 250 swing dancers & still have plenty of space to dance on the very large wooden dance floor. There is no bar at these dance nights, so we always provide soft drinks & allow people to bring their own booze. We often have dance shoe or dance clothing stalls at these events. |
